We've made this compilation available as it features a couple of tracks by Philip - "The Laughing Song" and "Don't Wait For Me"
which is exclusive to this album.
This compilation was released on Irregular Records in 2003 and showcases some of the great singer-songwriters of "English contemporary
chanson". This umbrella term is widely used to label the genre of these artists whose work represents a variety of
lyrical style and subject matter.
The title "9x2" points to the nine artists performing two songs each, which include contributions from Irregular Records founder Robb Johnson,
Pirate Jenny's host Des De Moor, renowned cabaret performer Barb Jungr, and our very own Philip Jeays.
